Berkeley Lab Guest House Policies

Check-in:

Check-in begins at 3 pm, although early check-in can be arranged based on availability (and, preferably, requested in advance).

Check-out:

Please check out of your room by noon. If needed, vehicle and luggage may be left at the facility beyond check-out time based on storage space and parking availability.

Front desk:

Our front desk is open 24 hours a day. Someone will always be on duty to assist you, answer questions, or address concerns.

Cancellation Policy:

Reservations should be canceled at least 24 hours before your scheduled check-in time. Cancellations without at least 24 hours advanced notice will be subject to a penalty fee equivalent to one night's stay in your booked room.

Pets:

In accordance with the UC Berkeley Housing Guest Policy, pets are not permitted on our premises. However, service animals are always welcome. Please inform the staff if you plan to arrive with an assistance animal.

Smoking:

Smoking of any kind is prohibited in the Guest House, including medical marijuana, vape pens & e-cigarettes. Please use designated smoking areas only.

Minors:

Minors are permitted based on LBNL approval and must be accompanied by adults at all times.

Eligible Guests:

All guests must provide the contact information for their affiliated host. The affiliated host is the person who invited the guest to UC Berkeley or the LBNL. Proof of business must be furnished to the Guest House before arrival, as requested.

Mail:

No personal or work-related materials should be sent to the Guest House. Please have your mail sent to your hosting department. All items received without prior consent from the Guest House will be returned to the sender, including Amazon orders. Please inquire with the Guest Service team for more info.

Access to the University:

According to the UC Berkeley Housing Guest Policy, all guests must be escorted by the resident they're visiting while on campus. Residents are to assume responsibility for their guest's behaviors and ensure they always adhere to the Residential Code of Conduct.
