UC Berkeley Commencement
Commencement is a campus-wide celebratory day held in the second week of May each year that celebrates graduating students. The day's activities include a student speaker, a keynote speaker, and (of course) the official conferring of degrees by the chancellor. Every graduating student gets two free tickets to share with family, but all other guests over two must purchase tickets.
UC Berkeley Homecoming
Homecoming week at UC Berkeley takes place in September or October each year, with the dates announced well in advance. Parents are invited to participate in the Alumni and Parents Weekend during homecoming, which features several rotating events. Prices vary based on which events you want to attend, but the Class Pass is $35. You can also purchase tickets to the Homecoming football game for $36+, depending on the seats.
UC Berkeley Move-In Week
The campus comes alive during move-in week each fall when new and returning students are moving their stuff in. During this time, the Berkeley Lab Guest House invites parents to stay in our comfortable accommodations while they help their children settle into their dorms. Of course, new students won't want to miss Golden Bear Orientation, where they'll learn more about their time at UC Berkeley.
Cal Football Games
Attend fall California Golden Bears football games at California Memorial Stadium, conveniently located a short six-minute drive from the Berkeley Lab Guest House. Event dates and ticket prices vary from year to year, but you're always guaranteed an unforgettable football game.
